Reception at the Bogota airport and private transfer to the hotel with assistance in English.
In the morning visit the Cathedral of Salt of Zipaquirá, located 50 kilometers north of the capital and 200 meters deep in the heart of the mountains. In the afternoon, a panoramic city tour of Bogota, passing through the historic center of the city, the Colon Theater, the San Carlos Palace, the San Ignacio Church, the Presidential Palace of Nariño, the Bolivar Square, the Capitol, the City Hall and the Cathedral. Visit the famous Gold Museum and climb on a funicular to Monserrate Mountain (3,150 meters above sea level), from where you can admire a wonderful view over the city and visit the sanctuary. Private transfer to the airport and domestic flight to Santiago de Cali, capital of the department of Valle del Cauca. Cali is a city with a warm, sweet and joyful atmosphere; Warm for its fantastic temperature throughout the year; Sweet for its innumerable plantations of sugar cane that surround the city; Joyful for the charisma of its people and because it is recognized internationally for being the world capital of Salsa music. Arrival in Cali, private transfer to the hotel and accommodation. In the afternoon City Tour through the main attractions of the city, passing through the historic center with its colonial buildings and Cristo Rey, panoramic mountain with the statue of Christ the Redeemer that protects the city. Exit northwards towards Calima Lake, water reserve in a context of spectacular landscapes of green valleys and hills. Recognized by the force of the winds that make this place one of the favorites of kitesurfing and windsurfing lovers. Arrival and visit the Calima Museum, which has art pieces of the ancient inhabitants of the area. You continue with a boat trip touring the lake, before visiting a typical restaurant for lunch. In the afternoon you will visit the city of Buga, an important pilgrimage center for Colombians. Return to Cali. Guide in English.
Day dedicated to the sweetness of this region with a tour inspired by sugar cane, typical product of this region of the country. Exit north to enter the immense plains cultivated with sugar cane. Guided tour of theSugar Cane Museum with an interactive tour that helps you understand the history and industrial development of this product throughout Valle del Cauca. After lunch you can enter a plantation to know firsthand how this process is done, living the experience of working in the field and to taste directly the sweetness of guarapo (drink extracted from sugar cane). Return to Cali and time available to prepare for a dinner with salsa show in a typical restaurant of the city.
Private transfer to the airport to take the domestic flight to the city of Medellin, capital of the department of Antioquia. Arrival and private transfer to the hotel. In the afternoon, a panoramic city tour with a visit to Plaza Botero, Parque de los Deseos, the Botanical Garden, the Cathedral, the K line of the cable car and the Pueblito Paisa with the colors of its architecture and handicrafts. Day dedicated to an excursion in the eastern part of the region of Antioquia until reaching the town of El Nuevo Peñol and Guatape. Visit the impressive monolith, where you can admire from its summit a magnificent view of the surrounding landscape. Then a boat trip to admire the majesty of the landscape. Continue to the beautiful and traditional village of Guatape. Return to Medellín. Guide in English.
Day dedicated to the discovery of one of the most beautiful and authentic areas of the region. Departure south-east to the village of Jardin, a trip of about three hours where you can see andean landscapes of amazing beauty, coffee plantations and rural areas still inhabited by indigenous communities. Panoramic tour of this splendid town before taking a horseback ride into the thicket of the surrounding nature until you reach a waterfall where you can take a refreshing and revitalizing bath.
Private transfer to the airport and domestic flight to Cartagena de Indias, the Colombian caribbean pearl and capital of the department of Bolivar. Arrival, private transfer to the hotel and accommodation.
Morning dedicated to the discovery of the beauty of Cartagena. It begins with a panoramic tour through the modern sector of Bocagrande and visit of the Castle of San Felipe de Barajas and the Convent of the Popa. It continues towards the Bóvedas, old constructions nowadays suitable for businesses of local craftsmanship. Free afternoon. We advise a guided tour on foot through the colonial center of the city where you can admire majestic plazas, walls, bastions, flowered balconies, colonial houses, churches, parks, alleys and many angles with all that magical realism. Transfer to the pier of Cartagena de Indias to embark for one of the fantastic coral islands of the archipelago of Rosario and San Bernardo. Accommodation at the hotel and day dedicated to relaxation or optional excursions.
