Welcome to Magic Realism!
Upon your arrival at the Bogota airport, a member of our staff will meet you at the airport. You will be escorted to your hotel with any last minute questions you may have, before resting up for a fun-filled week of exploring the heart of Colombia.
Bogota is the capital and largest city in Colombia. It is a convergence point for people from all over the country, so it is diverse and multicultural, combining the ancient and the modern.
In Bogota you can tour the fascinating capital of Colombia and visit one of the most important markets in the city where you can have a sweet fruit tasting. Take a cable car or funicular to the top of Monserrate for a panoramic view of the city. Be sure to enjoy a traditional Tamal and a cup of hot chocolate or “aguapanela” with cheese. Visit the historic district, the buildings of the capital and the Botero Museum, the famous Gold Museum. Visit one of the wonders of the country, the enigmatic Salt Cathedral built inside the mountains.
After one more night in Bogota, we moved to the coffee region. Colombia is the land of coffee, and therefore a visit to its impressive Coffee Cultural Landscape, which has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, is a must.
The area, which crosses the departments of Caldas, Quindio, Risaralda and the north of Valle del Cauca, offers a unique experience with landscapes that you will want to travel overland, as the mountains and coffee plantations offer authentic postcards that you will never tire of looking at and photographing.
And no wonder, because from these mountains is born a coffee of excellent quality that is recognized worldwide and enjoyed in every corner of the planet. So join the coffee experience, which more than a product, is a symbol of the richness and diversity of the Colombian culture.
Here you will spend the next few days in a beautiful coffee farm, savoring delicious authentic flavors, walking among the oldest and tallest palm trees in the world and discovering the flavors and aromas of the Coffee Cultural Landscape.
After experiencing the “paisa” hospitality, you will fly to the Colombian Caribbean, where you will learn about the history and be amazed by the beauty and magic of Cartagena de Indias and the Rosario Islands.
One of the charms that makes Cartagena de Indias a must-see destination is its amazing ability to transport you back in time in the 21st century, and this is thanks to the city’s beautiful and well-preserved historic center. Step back in time with a tour of Colombia’s colonial walled city as you explore the castle, historic center, urban neighborhoods, museums and one-of-a-kind seafood restaurants.
Spend a day relaxing on the white sandy beaches and swimming in the crystal clear waters of the Rosario Islands.
If you fall in love with charming Cartagena de Indias and the Caribbean coast and decide to stay longer, we will be happy to help you. A trip to Providencia Island, the San Bernardo Archipelago, the Tayrona National Natural Park or a trip to the islands of Aruba, Bonaire and Curaçao would be excellent options!
