Your starting point for this colorful adventure will be Bogotá, the vibrant capital of Colombia, situated 2.600 mts above sea level, with its dramatic Andean landscapes and urban vibe, a place full of history, well-preserved churches and famous museums. You’ll visit the Old Historic Center with cobbled streets, learning the tales behind the old churches, beautiful houses, plazas and cathedrals. You’ll wander around La Candelaria, a picturesque colonial neighborhood, and you’ll take a cable car to the top of the mountain to the Sanctuary of Monserrate, where you can see spectacular views of the city. To complement your experience, you will go to Paloquemao and discover Colombia’s infinite variety of vegetables, flowers and herbs used in natural medicines. You’ll learn about traditional cuisine and taste exotic fruits, juices and treats from the country’s most remote regions. It is a really attractive and photogenic bazaar, and the flower market outside has a vast array of colors and types of blooms.
For a change of scenery, you will travel to Tayrona National Natural Park, one of Colombia’s most popular destinations, set in the jungle-covered coast at the foot of Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta Mountains.This beautiful natural paradise offers amazing beaches with crystal blue waters. Tayrona Park, is ideal for nature lovers, its diversity of Flora y Fauna makes you want to discover unique landscapes, have a relaxing time, and observe marvelous sunrises and sunsets from the comfort of your bungalow.
