Bogota, Suesca, Laguna de la Tota, Casanare, Tatacoa Desert, Salento (Cocora Valley), Santa Marta
14 Days / 13 Nights
Spend 14 days exploring Colombia in a unique Glamping adventure. Upon arrival in Bogota, one of our bilingual assistants will pick you up from the airport and make sure you have everything you need for your adventure. From there you will head north, away from the city, to the beautiful Niddo Suesca. Here you will feel relaxed and one-with-nature in your own private Niddo en las Rocas. Whether you’re in to hiking, mountain biking, rock climbing, yoga, or a relaxing massage, this place has you covered.
Your next destination, Laguna de la Tota, is the birthplace of the Legend of El Dorado. Spend the night in a tree house overlooking the lake before heading off on an unforgettable safari in the Eastern Plains & Savannahs of Colombia in Casanare & the Orinoco. Here you will see abundant wildlife and experience a culture rich with gaucho (cowboy) traditions. Depending on the season, you can get up-close and personal with alligators, anacondas, capybaras, jaguars, birds, anteaters, howler monkeys, and maybe even catch a glimpse of the elusive pink dolphins. Look forward to canoeing during the wet season, 4×4 or tractor tours, horseback riding, and more.
You will arrive at your next destination by helicopter, soaring over the plains of Colombia, passing the Andes mountains, and arriving in the Tatacoa Desert. The Tatacoa Desert is one of Colombia’s most attractive landscapes, multi-colored reds and grays interspersed with desert cacti. This is also the best place to see the stars in Colombia, and that is just what you’ll do during your stay.
Another helicopter ride will transport you to a whole new world, into the heart of Colombia’s famed coffee zone. Here you will find some of the smoothest coffee, the oldest and tallest wax palm trees in the world, and a talented artisan community. Look forward to visiting coffee plantations, touring colorful pueblos, and spending the night camping glamorously in the heart of the Cocora Valley.
For a whole new view, and a completely different side of Colombia, one last helicopter ride will take you to the warm and historic Caribbean Coast. Here you will stay at a Boutique Resort on the beach, visit the most beautiful beaches inside of Tayrona Park, and visit a local indigenous community. Relax on the beach and enjoy the laid-back vibes, fresh seafood, and warm breeze before you head home after this Unique Glamping journey.
Of course, if you decide you want to stay longer, we can custom design you more offers. A trip to the Guajira Desert, or the magical city of Cartagena are just a couple of options. Let our private travel designers help you plan the vacation of a lifetime!
